When you first find out you are having a baby, there are many emotions that you go through. Excitement over the new life you are carrying, apprehension of all the responsibilities that will follow and love for this new child are just a few of them. When you start getting closer to the special day, you will naturally start thinking about a baby shower. If you haven’t decided on a theme yet, give some thought to baby shower invitations and heart party themes.
Plans for the Shower
Every expectant mother is going to need many items for there newborn child. From baby bottles and diapers to blankets, carriers, sleepers, pillows, bibs, socks and the list just goes on! Are you planning to host your own co-ed or female only event or will your best friend be throwing the shower for you? Many couples are planning co-ed parties for after the child is born. This enables them to take an inventory of what they have bought and what was given to them from friends and family and really see what they need.
If you are planning a co-ed shower, think about using little hearts for the theme. Whether it is a baby girl or a baby boy, hearts are great because this child is part of yours. If you are the expectant mother and your friend is hosting the shower, talk to them about using the heart theme.
While you are at it, you may want to include the heart theme on your baby invitations. What better way to indicate to your guests just how much this child means than showing them he/she is your heart.
Heart Themes for the Baby Shower Invite
Before you start shopping for baby shower invites, get a thorough guest list together. If you are throwing the shower for someone other than yourself, then sit down with the expectant mother and get her input. She may have friends she would like to attend that you have not met or do not know about. There is always that chance. In addition to that, there are some people she would rather not have attend.
Now take a trip across the vast super highway of shopping, the Internet. There is a plethora of invitation websites to browse through. Open a few at a time to compare styles, designs, colours and pricing before making a decision. Search particularly for heart themed invites.
The baby’s picture inside a blue or pink heart shaped frame, heart shaped flowers splattered against a beautiful pink or blue background or little hearts dividing or bordering the invitation are just a few ideas to consider.
DIY
If you really want something the guests will consider unique and keepsake worthy, use the DIY section to order your background and wording. When these cards arrive, you can attach as many or as few different coloured and sized hearts as your heart desires. Your guests will enjoy your personalised baby shower invitations and heart party theme.
